Foundations for Life

Essay Contest

The Lincoln Center is not sponsoring a local Foundations for Life Essay Contest in 2007, but the National Contest is available through Character Counts! (Deadline is usually mid-March).

Foundations for Life (FFL) is offered by the Josephson Institute of Ethics. Based on quotations from famous people, this essay and recognition program enhances the reading, critical thinking, and composition skills required by the new SAT exam, state and federal education standards, and “No Child Left Behind” proficiency testing. In addition to enhancing a student’s overall academic performance, FFL teaches an often overlooked aspect of education: the importance of character for a rewarding and successful life.
